Since 2011, LOGOS and ParishSOFT have been working together to build great products. To better serve our people, we are no longer operating the LOGOS Catholic website. The LOGOS brand continues primarily serving our Protestant customers with membership and accounting software. Both options can be found at the links below.
In 1980, in response to the needs of growing churches to better manage vital information on people, a small firm named Master's Data Group began providing an innovative software solution. In 1982, Lowell Brown Enterprises (LBE) was formed as a team of leadership consultants, serving growing churches and Christian organizations, providing insights and guidance based on wide experience in active, growing ministries. By 1983, these two organizations began to share their mutual vision for using computers in busy church and school offices.
LOGOS (initially called "Insight") development began in 1979, using Assembly language for CP/M computers, the first PC operating system. Since all software in those days would only run on a specific brand of computer, LOGOS was initially developed for computers built by Vector Graphics, one of the first widely-used desktop computers.
Responding to a pressing need in 1984 for innovative solutions to managing information in large churches, LBE acquired LOGOS, merging the technical skills of the team from Master's Data with the leadership vision of LBE. LOGOS' reputation as a pace-setter in management systems made its personnel and products an ideal match for LBE's vision. At that time a commitment was made to continuously update its products to meet both changing needs and new technology. That commitment has born fruit as LOGOS products have earned and maintained a reputation not only for reliability and ease of use, but also for regular, useful updates.
In 2011, LOGOS partnered with ParishSOFT to take advantage of the browser-based ConnectNow technology ParishSOFT was already offering their churches. To learn more about this partnership, see here.
